In Georgia O’Keeffe Country - New Mexico

As a long-time admirer of Georgia O’Keeffe, I spent part of the summer of 2025 road tripping through her old haunts across New Mexico.

Below is the itinerary I followed, the best places to stay and linger in Santa Fe and Taos, and what it’s like to sleep at Ghost Ranch, where so many of her paintings were born. I’ve also included a short reflection on what I carried home — beyond a few souvenirs.
